Our Services

The Small Animal Internal Medicine service specializes in treating dogs and cats with conditions affecting the major body systems including the kidneys and urinary tract, liver, pancreas, gastrointestinal tract, endocrine glands, lungs and upper respiratory system, as well as those suffering from infectious and immune-mediated diseases. Faculty, residents, interns and students work together as a team along with other specialty services in the hospital to provide advanced diagnostics and expert medical care. The service specializes in treating complex and challenging medical conditions and works closely with your family veterinarian to coordinate care and long term treatment. Procedures offered include endoscopy, advanced imaging, blood transfusions, feeding tube placement, radioactive iodine therapy, bone marrow sampling, and others.
