Whenever you give to cancer care, you give hope to those who love their animals.
Each year, we treat around 300 dogs and 40 cats for cancer. Dogs like Booda, an 11-year-old Dachshund with a benign brain tumor or Kiki, a 6-year-old border collie mix who now has a second lease on life.
Many of our cancer patients come from Washington State or as far away as Oregon, Idaho, Montana and Canada.
Cancer isn’t always be curable, but it may be treatable giving a beloved pet many happy days. For Lucy a Boston Terrier and Zoey a miniature Goldendoodle, they each enjoyed more time with their families because of cancer care at WSU.
Watch “Give Hope” to learn more about cancer care at the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital.
