Ms. Pepper moved to the Palouse region in 1995. Prior to working at Washington State University she worked as a free-lance grant writer specializing in health-related projects for clients including non-profit organizations, school districts, and state and local governments.
I am motivated to reduce disparities in access to health care, health outcomes, and socio-economic opportunities.
Early on, I was interested in doing therapeutic work with children. After experience working with young children in therapeutic settings and learning more about the circumstances many of them faced, I became much more interested in public health and prevention of disease and disabilities. Working as a free-lance grant writer, I enjoyed bringing my public health training and skill set to work with community groups to identify local needs, develop programs, and bring much-needed resources into areas of northern Idaho and eastern Washington.
Community activities: Board Member, Auditorium Chamber Music Series (Moscow, Idaho)
Other interests: Swimming, biking, hiking, travel
