Small Animal Pituitary Surgery

“You Can Help Us Help Animals Like Clyde”

When Clyde, a 9-year-old yellow Labrador retriever, woke up from surgery he did something he hadn’t done in six months: he looked at his owner, wagged his tail, and licked her face. “In those 10 minutes in the ICU, I saw how much the surgery had worked,” says his owner Mindy White. “It was a miracle.”

Clyde had recently been diagnosed with Cushing’s disease caused by a pituitary tumor. The tumor was also causing neurological symptoms that had changed his personality drastically. After surgery, it was amazing what a different dog he was, says White. And how quickly the brain could change.

THANK YOU! to the families of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital Patients: Otis Huish, Vince Korb, Wiley Kilwein and Anna Hunt. Your donations helped us to buy the Nico Myriad intracranial aspirator that we need.
